Aims
Our project aims at increasing the fellows' capacity to produce innovative and original research, at establishing long lasting partnerships among the institutions and research teams involved and creating new networks of contacts among partners from different sectors and world regions that would otherwise have few chances to interact. Knowledge sharing mechanisms are thoroughly interrelated with the development of methodologically solid, policy-relevant research. Remarkably, partners have been selected by virtue of their capacity to build intersectoral and inter-regional synergies, complementing and supporting each other. All partners have excellent track record of theory generating and empirical research. The project consortium enjoys an enviably wide network, which includes policy makers and private sector companies. The rest of the consortium is represented by a mix of academic and non-academic partners from Central Asia, Middle East, North Africa, West Africa, Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Gulf States and Latin America.
